HOME ASSIST LIMITED
Home Assessment
Learn more about our home assesments and how we can take care of your home to keep you in it longer.
When we assess your home the first and most important thing we consider is safety.
As part of the onboarding process, we will undertake a basic risk assessment of your home to understand your home environment and any risks you may presently face. We consider this essential, not only to keep you safe, but also as part of the duty of care we owe to our staff who will be working within your home.
Following on from the Basic Risk Assessment, we will consider the way you presently interact with and use your property. By observing the way you use your home, which rooms you frequent, where you sit, which steps / stairs / danger points you can and can’t avoid, we will be pleased to offer suggestions of the things which you can do to make your home more user friendly and comfortable given your circumstances.
We may suggest simple enhancements such as the installation of ramps, grab handles and nonslip surface coverings. We may also recommend larger modifications, such as fitting a stairlift or modifying a bathroom to offer you the safer option of a wheelchair friendly shower.
We will also explore ways to focus your day-to-day activities in different places by repurposing existing spaces to provide you with a safer and more comfortable environment.
Finally, we want to look at the long term maintenance of your property. We will consider all the jobs which need to be completed periodically. This might be regular recurring tasks such as cutting the grass and cleaning your windows all the way through to less frequent work such as periodic decorating.
I feel I can wholeheartedly recommend HALo as they have made such a difference in my life with my degenerating illness.
For small and simple tasks we have a team of handyman who can fit grab handles, mow your lawn etc...
When your property’s needs are too much for our in house team, we have a raft of sub-contractors, who are experts and qualified in gardening, property maintenance, furniture removals, decorating, plumbing, tiling, electrics, carpentry and pretty much anything that your property might need.
Where the property needs are more complex still, we have teamed up with the property team at Swoffers, who are the Island’s leading experts in the management of property.
